I have a great tip today, courtesy of my friend and fellow gardener, Teresa. She told me that when she was younger, her and her family would go to a party at a family friend’s house for a BBQ.
After the guests were finished eating, the dad would gather up the biodegradable foods, dig a hole by a tree, put the saved bits into the hole and then fill it in. Over time, the foods would break down, feed the soil and in time nourish the tree.
